Preludes 14: The Duelo - Coming April 2026
New Fable: The Wreck of Mestra Carmo
Sea-salted wood awaits any Envoy seeking out Soulframe’s newest Fable, The Wreck of Mestra Carmo.
Take up the rapier Navalha amongst Midrath’s shipwrecks and duel against the Mestra Carmo.
New Pact: Duelo
Duelo is Soulframe’s latest Pact, born of the Ancestor Carmo.
- Courage Arcanic - Flintlock: Draw a flintlock pistol against your foes, delivering a shot that tears through multiple foes.
- Spirit Arcanic - Bravado: Casting Bravado boosts the highest Virtue stat of each Party member within range, and slows the enemies around.
- Grace Arcanic - Duo Deulo: With each strike of your weapon, a ghostly clone lags in suit, mirroring your swings at a lower damage value.
- Passive - Olho por Olho: Your weapon has a chance to bleed your foes.
- Passive - Chamariz: Upon dodging, your clone holds the enemy's attention for a moment.
Rapiers Arrive!
Preludes 14 introduces a new weapon type with its own animation set: rapiers.

Rapiers will tie into the Long Blade Weapon Art tree.
Orlick’s Station Rework
In Preludes 14, Orlick’s role expands with a new progression system tied to his research.
Rank up Orlick the Bicameral by completing tasks using Spectral Sight, uncovering the knowledge of Alca as his work unfolds.
Journal Update
The Journal will receive a UI update in Preludes 14, offering a clearer and more guided resource as you explore Alca.
Such improvements include:
- Enemy information, including spoils (loot) and lore.
- An easier time tracking objectives, such as Fables, in Alca.
New Siege: Mirifuir
Mirifuir has stood upon the cliff's edge for a thousand years. No rise nor fall of Kingdoms, no coming or going of Ode, not even the ever-pounding of the waves could topple it. For its walls were blessed by the Fey Empress in a rare meeting 'twixt her court and the Midrathian Queen, Finngualla.

Fallen Skycastle Preview
The Fallen Skycastles scattered across Midrath will become accessible in Preludes 14, overrun with the Mendicant’s necrotics.

Changes Coming in Preludes 14
Rune Changes
In Preludes 14, Rune activation is being reworked:
- Runes now activate on heavy attack, rather than automatically on Smite.
- Smiting a foe banks a charge, which can be used to activate your Rune at will.
Joinery Changes
In Preludes 14, Joineries are reworked to focus on enhancing a weapon’s Virtues.
- Joineries now provide 1-3 Virtue Attunement ‘pips,’ depending on the Joinery type.
- Existing Joineries are being renamed and worked into this new system, not removed.
- Damage previously granted by Joineries is now folded into weapon leveling, becoming intrinsic to the weapon.
New Weapons
What would a Preludes Update be without mighty new weapons to wield well?
- Cenotaph: An ichor’d, corrupted scimitar.
- Espadarte: A swash-buckling cutlass.
- Lyke-Wake: A sword and shield of Mendicant origin.
- Silistavf: An Ode’n staff casted upon Midrath.
New Votives & Mini-Quests
Preludes 14 will bring 5 new Mini-Quests.
